sea life?

Look! Sea lions! No, Walrus! Oh, they are slugs. That reminds me, anybody got any tame ducks needing a new home?

Dilute ammonia in a spray bottle - spray the slugs and watch them melt. Fun in the garden. Oh, and the next day more slugs will visit the scene of the massacre and they too will be goners with a squirt of ammonia. In a few seasons of slug hunting (no License required) hardly any will remain.

Ewwww! sounds horrible! Like salt! ugh & phooey. I'd rather they be eaten quickly by something than slowly dissolve. Wouldn't you rather perish quickly?
Karma, Bill, karma.

I've done in thousands of slugs w/ ammonia. A quick walk around with squirt bottle in hand. Nothing to it. Several years ago we had an invasion of brown/black slugs. They were eating everything. Hostas looked like Swiss cheese.

I started w/ the ammonia - some mornings I might have killed over 200 slugs. A guess is in a season I might have killed over 5000 of the slimy things. (I calculated this by the number of killed slugs per squirt bottle and how many bottles per season.)

I never sprayed banana slugs since they are natural to the area. The brown/black type came from Europe and with no natural predators the region literally exploded with them.

It isn't as bad as you make it to be. There's really no mess and it's nothing like salt.

And I think deer are far worse than slugs. They will eat just about anything. I refer to deer as rodents with long legs.

They eat entire gardens of roses, strawberry plants, etc. and just stare at you if you yell at them. And it's impossible to move them off and away unless you chase them with rocks.
