what's not to like?

I've never understood why some folks are so anti-moss. Its beautiful! I encourage it...it does give up during our hot, dry Northern California summers. Maybe I'll change my tune if and when I get moved back up to Oregon. But can't you just imagine teensy-tiney Leprechauns cavorting in the moss? Posted by Picasa

I'm with you! I think moss is neat! Last year at a garden show I saw an all moss garden...very cool!

Also enjoyed seeing your snowdrops and hellebores!

I spent some time in Japan where whole gardens are based around moss. With ornamental rocks and dark, shady trees overhead. It makes for an incredibly peaceful (and very beautiful) atmosphere. One of the things on my wish list is a garden where I can have a similar area.
