day late & a dollar short

 

Bloom day plus one? The red abutelon never ceases to amaze me.

 

the asters always out-do themselves, starting in October and blooming at least 6 weeks.

 

Just look at all that carotin! the rainbow chard looks delicious so why do I never eat it?

That abutilon makes me sad. I just tossed one--too many bugs. They are houseplants in the winter for us.

oh bummer EAL! They grow like weeds here. ;>) The deer LOVE them so mine grow in the dog's yard. There is one out in the main yard that has gotten tall enough that Doereen and her kin can't seem to totally denude it. certainly looks silly though.
